Akshaya Patra Foundation

The Akshaya Patra Foundation is a non-profit organization striving to fight issues like hunger and malnutrition in India. With the implementation of Mid-day meal programs in government schools and government aided schools, Akshaya Patra aims to fight hunger and bring children to school there by providing food in return for education. Since 2000, the organization has worked towards reaching more children with wholesome food on every single school day. Today Akshaya Patra is the worlds largest , non profit run, mid-day meal program serving food to over 1.39 million children across 9 states in India.

East Delhi Muncipal Corporation

The education department of MCD is committed to improving the standard of nursery and primary education, as well as harmonious development of children. MCD provides facilities like scholarships, textbooks, midday meals, health cover, science education, uniforms and shoes. Mid-day meals to all school children are run and aided by MCD and has been entrusted to 8 NGOS/Service providers who ensure it is prepared and served with good hygiene and sufficient quantity
