Cheese Pasta

This cheesy pasta is perfect for a quick dinner or even a packed lunch!


  • For the Sauce:

  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1 Shallot
  • 3 Cloves
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 2 tbsp All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Freshly ground pepper
  • 1 cup Grated Britannia Cheese Cubes
  • Salt to taste
  • Thyme

  • For the Pasta:

  • 1 cup Cooked Penne Pasta or any pasta of your choice
  • 6 to 7 Crushed Garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp - Red chilly flakes
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 to 5 - Sun-dried tomatoes, soaked in water (optional)


  • Boil milk along with the shallots, Cloves and Bay leaf. Strain the mixture into a jug.
  • In the meantime melt butter in a pan. Add all-purpose flour to it and sauté till the raw smell is gone. Add the boiled milk in a stream, mixing continuously. Make sure there aren’t any lumps. Cool till the sauce thickens.
  • Add grated Britannia Cheese, thyme leaves and take it off the flame.
  • Add oil to the pan and add crushed garlic and pepper to it. Once it browns, add the cooked pasta, chopped sun-dried tomatoes and give it a good mix.
  • Add a cup of the cheese sauce and 1/2 cup water. As soon as the pasta thickens to the right consistency take it off the flame. Add salt to taste.
  • Add chilly flakes, thyme and some more grated cheese on top. Serve it hot.
